GASTEC at CRE (GaC)

Boiler Operative Accreditation Scheme (BOAS)

This course, consisting of four days of training and a one day examination, is designed to provide knowledge and understanding of legislative and environmental requirements.

Successful delegates receive the qualification of Certified Industrial Boiler Operative issued by the Combustion Engineering Association (CEA).

The Course covers:-

  • Boiler construction, maintenance and controls
  • Feed water and treatment
  • Combustion theory
  • Burner operation and maintenance
  • Boiler and burner fault identification
  • Boiler and burner electrical systems
  • Boiler house Health & Safety
