Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
Our comprehensive PAT testing training course include details of legislation, electrical shock, burn and fire hazards, user checks, formal visual inspections, combined inspection and testing, construction of Class 1, II & III portable electrical appliances, fuse ratings, electrical plugs, testing computers, IT equipment, power tools, IEC cords & extension leads.
Our course takes one day to complete and has the following objectives:-
- Electrical Safety
- Equipment Construction
- Combined Inspection and Testing
- Recording
- Procedures for Faulty Equipment
A multiple choice examination is taken at the end of the course along with visual inspections of equipment.
Each candidate successfully passing the examination will receive a certificate of competence.
