Micro CHP – the simultaneous production of heat and power (cogeneration) at small scales is of increasing political and public interest and GaC is involved at many levels including testing and certification of individual technologies, data audit of the Carbon Trust m-CHP field trials (which involves significant laboratory investigations), and management of large laboratory tests to assess the quality of delivered power from m-CHP systems.
We are one of Europe’s leading testing and certification body for cogeneration and power systems, and are active across many technology types including:-
* Cogeneration – engines
* Cogeneration fuel cells
* Fuel cell power systems
* Gas heat pumps
* Hydrogen generators and components
We provide the following services within these technology sectors:-
* Pre-compliance assessment
* Approval assessment/quality assessment
* Product certification and surveillance for GAD included products
In addition we are always happy to advise on the applicability of various standards and new initiatives in these areas.
