GASTEC at CRE (GaC)
GaC have extended their scope of accreditation to encompass some of the testing required for WRAS approval. Working closely with its sister organisation Kiwa Quality Services, there is now a real choice in the UK marketplace.
Kiwa Quality Services Ltd (UK) commenced operations in July 2001 in Chepstow before moving to Ebbw Vale in 2005. It now forms a major part of Kiwa's international operations, and is able to offer the full range of Kiwa Services.

Kiwa Quality Services Ltd specialises in the “one stop shop” concept for approvals and certification for the UK, mainland Europe and Australia.
The main product testing and approval services to be offered include:
- The Kiwa UK Water Regulations Approval Scheme designed to ensure products and materials comply with the requirements of the UK Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and Water Byelaws (Scotland) 2000.
- Product Testing for compliance with the UK Water Supply Companies approval scheme WRAS – Water Regulations Advisory Scheme
- Product Certification based on European Standards
- The Kiwa Building Regulations Certification Scheme for Unvented Hot Water Storage Heaters to comply with the performance requirements of the UK Building Regulations 2000 sections G3 and L.
